A SEPTA bus crashed into a light pole Thursday evening in Center City after the driver had a seizure, an agency spokesman said.

No passengers or pedestrians were injured. The Route 21 bus was traveling west on Walnut Street around 8 when the driver lost control, spokesman Andrew Busch said. The bus veered onto the sidewalk and knocked down a light pole between 12th and Camac Streets.

The driver was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Busch said. There was no information on his condition. Police at the scene said a passenger had helped stop the bus. - Robert Moran
